The Agility Underground

Beginner through Advanced Competition Classes

We offer dog agility at its most enjoyable – time well-spent for you and your dog in a fun, positive environment. Our instructors are knowledgeable, compassionate and have a sense of humor. They compete successfully in all agility venues. They have trained and competed with many breeds, including terriers, retrievers, rottweilers, border collies, shelties, and mix breeds. Our instructors will help you fulfill your dreams for your dog, whether it is to be a top competition team or to have a dog that is a good citizen (and can do a few tricks to amaze your friends!)

Our Facilities

Our indoor facility is a 62’x 84’ Cover All building with soccer turf footing. It is heated with radiant heat, and cooled in the summer with large fans. Outdoors we have sand covered with ground mulch, 90’x120’.

We have competition equipment with rubberized contacts. The entire area is fenced and gated.

Other Information

We use Linda Mecklenburg’s Awesome Paws System (APHS) of motion-based handling. We are students of the system, and teach it from foundation jumping and handling through to competition.

Some of the classes we offer (not all classes are offered every session): Jumping, Handling, Weaves, Contacts, Puppy, Clicker Training, Trick Training, Obedience for Agility, Competition, Advanced Competition, and Junior Handler.

Our Students

Agility Underground students have achieved great things! They have qualified for AKC, USDAA, CPE and Teacup Agility Nationals and the AKC Invitational. Many have earned MACH (Master Agility Champion, AKC), ADCH (Agility Dog Champion, USDAA), C-ATCH (CPE Agility Trial Champion), and TACh (Teacup Agility Champion) titles.

We are equally proud of our students whose dogs do not compete, but have learned life-enhancing lessons by adapting to different environments and negotiating new obstacles.
